The picture to the right is of Rolla Kendrick Miller and Martha Esther Haynes-Miller taken in 1951 somewhere possibly in Middletown, Ohio.
Rolla Kendrick Miller was born to Alfred Miller (b: 1869 d: 1933) and Sophronia Mae Allen (b: 1896 d: 1933). Martha Esther Haynes was born to William Taylor Haynes (b: 1867 d: 1952) & Cora Lee Vest (b: 1870 d: 1923).
Rolla & Martha have the following children
Lloyd Lee Miller married to Betty Lou Anders
Lawrence Earl Miller married to Bridgett Campbell
Cora Kathleen Miller married to Paul E. Lucas
Eugene Lesley Miller died at infancy.
Betty Louise Miller married to Carl V. Baker
Kenneth Lester Miller married to Francis Hedger and Debbie Wise
Donna Mae Miller married to Lyle "Pete" Short
Judith Ann Miller married to Robert Holder (divorced), then married Robert Hoskins
William Michael Miller died in 1973 from complications of an auto accident
David Miller died at birth
Rolla (Drum) & Martha have a very nice family and enjoyed many things together. Their lives are still linked through the family they left behind. Drum worked at Armco Steel in Middletown Ohio and Martha stayed at home and cared for their children and their home.
The thing I remember most about Grandpa Miller is that he loved us all very much and each time we would visit, he would give us a big hug, he also did not like his hat touched and would place it on top of a lamp to keep us children from touching it. Grandma Miller was known for her love and kindness. She always listened carefully to everything I had to say and hoping she would guide me up the right path! I also remember staying all night and getting to share her big bed in the room in the back of the house at 412 Park Street Middletown Ohio. It was always so much fun! |
